Just spent too much time figuring out how to add a language to a keyboard, in order to get spell checking and auto type suggestions in the right language.
Here’s how:
- Settings app > Personal > Language & input
Select the keyboard you’re using, as in the screenshot to the right. Don’t tap ‘Current Keyboard’ - You’re now in the keyboard’s Settings screen. Tap Languages.
- Toggle off ‘Use system language’, and pick the languages you need.
Done. Now, when typing, you can switch languages by holding the space bar.
